Engine removed from engine room for complete rebuild of engine, hoses, wires etc.

Up and running

Valkyrja is in the water! We just came back from Boothbay Harbor where Valkyrja had been launched and we met her for the first time. It sure was a pleasure to finally see her. She even let us sleep in the cockpit, after we had done a bit of cleaning. The survey revealed that the engine runs perfectly and the sails were in good shape. The sea trial was a joy; she took us for a smooth 6 knots ride in the Indian summer breeze of 8.5 knots. She sure was happy to be sailing again after the years in lay-up. Now she will sail to Newport where she will be refitted.
