We are a couple of adventurous persons who were lucky enough to meet in our mid forties. We fell in love. We started to talk about sailing within only a few days after we first met. Both had background in travelling and outdoor sports, Óli in skiing and Sif in mountain hiking.

Óli had lived for more than a year in Brussels when we met and was an active skier. He was known in Liechtenstein as 'the Surfer', probably because of his long hair. He was a passionate skier, he had practiced downhill skiing since he was a teenager in northern Iceland. Off piste in the Alps was his favorite.

Sif´s passion was mountain hiking and she had both hiked many of the highest peaks in Iceland, as well as Ras Dashen, the third highest mountain in Africa.
Together we would do some serious mountaineering in the Alps, hike a part of the challenging and beautiful GR20 in Corsica, trek the amazing path at Yellow Mountains in China, ascend Table Mountain in Cape Town, climb Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, together with numerous other hikes in Italy, Spain, France, Iceland....

Since we met, in 2005, we have travelled extensively, see our travels on land.
